Every Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:30 Dance Conmigo host a West Coast Swing dance practice. On Sep 11, we celebrated the birthday of Stephanie, one of loyal regulars of Dance Conmigo. Through a lot of effort and  dedication Stephanie has become a fantastic dancer and we are so proud to have her in our studio so that upcoming dancers can use her as a sample of everything that West Coast Swing has to offer.

Dance Conmigo also host a dance party the first Saturday of every month at studio Metronome. Each dance party starts with two Dance classes at the same time and later on, dancers can go from one dance floor to the other. We offer 3 dance floors in which we play salsa, bachata, cha-cha, rumba, merengue, tango, West Coast Swing and more.

Dance Conmigo is a social dance school located in Montreal. We teach social partner dancing and our goal is to create a community of people who share the joy of dancing.

Westie Jam For Michael Salvador

Dance Conmigo hosts a West Coast Swing Dance Practice every Tuesday 8:30pm-10:30pm. Often we mark the birthday of one of the regulars with a "Westie circle".

On September 4th, we celebrated Michael Salvador's birthday.   Mike, a great dancer and highly-appreciated dance partner, was hesitant to be the center of attention, but the ladies weren't taking "no" for an answer! An awesome Westie jam ensued...

Montreal gets ready for Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollmann

Estelle Bonnaire and Ewan Dupré created this fantastic video in anticipation of the arrival of Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollmann to Montreal in October 2012.  It is both a tribute to Jordan and Tatiana as well as a promotion of the West Coast Swing scene in Montreal.  Amateur Montreal dancers perform the couple's famous "Pump It" routine in a variety of the city's landmark sites.

Hello,

My name is Alain, I am a happy co-owner of friendly dance school called "Dance Conmigo"

I am fortunate enough to be able to make my living as dance teacher. On this day in particular (May 22nd) my partner Cheryl asked me to get the camera ready because it was some one else's birth day. It is our custom to celebrate the birthday of our regular dancer. Little did I know that it me the featured dancer.

I want to thank every one in our WCS community for your continuous support of  5 years of WCS at Dance Conmigo. I like to thank you for your smiles, your hugs, your hand shakes, your presence. All of you bring something unique and special to our evenings and we are so happy to have you with us.

In this video we are saying good bye to Martina who was in Montreal as an exchange student and who spent three sessions at Dance Conmigo as WCS dancer. She is so beautiful and many leaders will be missing her.

Also, we are celebrating Pascal's Birthday. Pascal have been part of the Dance Conmigo WCS regulars ever since Dance Conmigo had its first WCS class and practice sometime during the year 2007. One of the most beautiful things about being a dance teacher it the process of continuous learning and teaching what we learn. This is probably the best job in earth. The social life is amazing. Always surrounded by wonderful people. The gratification of sharing all this wonderful moments in person and in video is beyond believe. Thank you students and dance partner for making dancing such a lovely activity.

West Coast Swing Dance Practices take place every Tuesday 8:30-10:30PM at Dance Conmigo. Open to everyone curious or interested in WCS.

I can not say with certainty if the WCS practice started on 2008 or 2009. This was not important because WCS was totally unknown in Montreal. There were a few ardent promoters but there was no venue or structure of classes nor consistency.

During the first and second year, there were many practices nights with only 2 attendants, then 4, then 6 and so on. At few occasion we were considering giving up, but some ardent enthusiasts (Bonnie Mak among others) insisted to give it more time.

Eventually, there were more than 10 regular dancers coming every Tuesday. At that moment , we began to feel that we had turned the corner and that there was a potential to  have a regular WCS dance practice in Montreal every Tuesday night.

Thank you Montreal WCS dancers for making this evening such a pleasant event.

In our WCS community at Dance Conmigo, we celebrate a person's birth day by doing a westy circle. The DJ (Cheryl Williams) put a song and every one tries to get a dance withe the birthday person. We wish you many more years of dancing Dominque

When we are a dancer, we have an alternative life, a life where we share moments of joy, for laughter, of intimacy; a life in which we forget our worries and for short periods of time, we can be just happy. When we become dancers, we  take the conscious decision to be happy and worry free for three minutes at a time.
